I primarily work on discovery user research, which means that I’m brought in at the inception of a new technology and/or product development process. I conduct research that helps understand what our prospective users’ current challenges are while testing and iterating on prototypes that address those challenges. In my time at GE I’ve done both hardware and software projects for interventional cardiology, MR coils, hospital operations, AI clinical decision support, and more. I’d love to share more specifics, but it takes several years for a product to go from “idea” to “commercially available.”
For now, hear me share about my breast cancer experience as a GE employee. In the past 3 years, I’ve had the opportunity to go from newly diagnosed to working on a device that will directly improve things for patients like me.
